Working together.

 Teen & Young Adult Therapy

Together, we will explore experiences that have shaped you into who you are and set goals for who you strive to be.

We will get to know the relationships which have shaped you. We’ll also get to know what your hopes for the future are. We’ll explore strengths and the parts of your lived experience, moments of strength, and resiliency.

I’ll help you challenge old stories, patterns, and beliefs that aren’t serving you while also encouraging the practice of self-compassion.

I’m especially passionate about and skilled at supporting individuals who are:

  • Experiencing life transitions

  • Experience low self-esteem/worth

  • Experience anxiety

  • Are highly sensitive, empaths, deep feelers

  • Seeking to explore, understand, and heal relationships and conflicts

 Couples Therapy

Couples may find themselves in patterns of communicating that make both individuals feel like they are stuck. I work to get to the root of problems to process and unearth the underlying emotions that are fueling perpetual problems.

I strive to slow down the conversations and tune into what is really being said. Together we work on bettering communication, intimacy and a greater understanding of yourself and your partner.

I’m especially passionate about working with couples who:

  • Want to increase communication & intimacy

  • Experience life transitions

  • Find themselves in the same conflicts

  • Want to be equipped with tools to build a stronger relational foundation

Parent Coaching

I believe there is so much power in parents learning how to embrace their significant role in their loved one’s mental health and well-being. Rooted in a deep and unwavering belief in the healing power of families, I utilize Emotion Focused Family Therapy and work one on one with parents to empower and support you as caregivers in harnessing the power of feelings and mastering the skills involved in four domains:

  1. Becoming their loved one’s behavior coach, that is, assisting their loved one – regardless of age – in the interruption of symptoms and maladaptive behaviors (anxiety, depression, an eating disorder, etc.) as well as in the transition from stressful life events (a divorce, loss of a loved one, etc.)

  2. Becoming their loved one’s emotion coach, that is supporting their loved one to approach, process and manage stress, emotions and emotional pain, making symptoms unnecessary to cope;

  3. Facilitating therapeutic apologies in order to help loved ones to let go of the weight of old injuries, and

  4. Working through and resolving the fears and obstacles that surface in the caregiver during this challenging and novel journey.
